Biomechanical analysis needs to be considered when there is concern about how and whether the injury occurred in an accident. BEC Consulting addresses these issues in two fundamental aspects: 1) if there is an injury mechanism consistent with injury characteristics; 2) if the forces imposed on the anatomical structure in the specific injury mechanism exceed its tolerance limits. We have worked on hundreds of cases in injury causation analysis and provided many graphic demonstrations for injury reconstruction. Types of accidents we analyze for biomechanical analyses are not limited to automobile accidents. It includes injuries in industrial settings and many other aspects of our daily life such as falls on different walkways including stairs, elevators, escalators and many more situations.
